What if I forgot the Admin, Maker or Checker Password?

In case you have forgotten your password to access IRCS, you need to follow the steps below to generate a new password:

a.       On IRCS Login screen, click on Forgot Password

b.      The Forgot Password pop-up screen is displayed. Here you need to enter the ‘User ID’ click on ‘Continue’.

c.       As the User ID is entered, user will be forced to answer the secret Questionnaire.

d.      Next, select the Secret Question that you have specified as you logged into IRCS application for the very first time.

e.       After selecting the Secret Question, type in the Answer you may have specified and click Submit.

f.        The new password generated for your User ID and will be mailed to your email address.

g.       In the scenario where the secret question set by the Bank user is forgotten user shall reach out to the bank admin to reset the password. If the bank admin forgets the secret question, user shall reach out to NPCI on imps@npci.org.in to reset the password. Secret question can be updated by the user at login.

h.      Now go back to the Login Page of IRCS and login using your User ID and the new password generated.

i.        On logging in, the Change Password screen will be displayed. Here you need to provide a new password of your choice for accessing IRCS.
