• What is expiry date for Production keys?

  Within 90 days the bank need to complete production activity after key generation.

• When can bank use existing production keys?

  If the bank is already live on EMV and coming for RuPay Contactless with same switch, then they can use the existing Production keys.

• For how long is the certification sign-off valid from the date of sign-off?

  The Certification Sign-off will be valid for 50 working days from the date of issue. The Bank needs to go Live within this time, else the Signoff will be invalid and the bank will have to re-certify.

• Can NPCI generate AES keys?

  No, NPCI doesn't generate AES keys. Currently, NPCI only generates 3DES keys.

• Can bank can get the existing keys which are already issued?

  No, It is the bank responsibility to store the keys as NPCI doesn't store the Keys issued to the member Banks.
